Bali June 2nd - June 8th
Take a journey to Bali, the famed island of the Gods, for Black Travel Fest. From June 2nd through June 8th, 2019, we will flood the island of Bali with pure unadulterated melanin!
Leave the stress and hustle-bustle of everyday life behind. We will lavish in Bali’s natural beauty, chase waterfalls, visit iconic temples, party in some of Bali’s hot spots, live the high life in private villas, and most importantly, develop deep and lasting connections with likeminded travelers.
Kenya October 20th - October 27th
You’re invited to take a magical journey through one of Africa’s most prized tourist destinations. From October 20th through the 27th we will be reconnecting with our African roots as we explore the best of Kenya.
For seven days and seven nights, we will discover what draws millions of tourists to Kenya as we get a taste of city life in Nairobi, get up close and personal with cast from the Lion King with a two day safari in the Masai Mara, and turn up at one of Kenya’s most exclusive beach resorts in Diani Beach.
Zanzibar October 27th –October 31st
Let’s hop over to Zanzibar for a bit more fun and exploration. For three days and four nights, we will explore the island’s scenic Stone Town, discover its numerous islands with an island hopping and snorkeling tour, learn all about its rich and diverse history, and even take a sobering walk through the island’s role in the East African slave trade.
Not to mention, we’ll be checking out Nungwi, one of Zanzibar’s most beautiful beaches. It’s an adventure that you won’t want to end!
Ghana December 28th - January 4th
You’re invited to “return” to the motherland with us this December 27th through January 3rd for an exhilarating, eye opening, and likely emotional journey.
If you haven’t heard already 2019 is the Year of the Return, marking 400 years since the first enslaved African arrived in America. For seven days and seven nights we will take a deep dive into Ghanian culture and reconnect with our African roots.
This is itinerary is packed with monument visits, deep cultural experiences, and Black Travel Fest style turn-ups because this is too big and important an opportunity to miss out on for sleep. Oh did we mention we’ll be getting our lives at Afrochella? You will not leave this trip the same way you arrived, so get ready!
